Zanzibar Palace Hotel is an exclusive boutique hotel located right in the heart of Stone Town in Zanzibar. Come to experience the authentic Zanzibar atmosphere! We offer a unique style with strong focus on high quality service and modern comfort.

We have three rooms on each of the three floors. Above all, our nine rooms are all different from each other, and in each of them our guests find traces of the Zanzibar’s rich history echoed into their mix of Arabian, Indian and English design.

Our unique atmosphere makes it a perfect place to unwind. In addition, our location makes it an ideal base to explore and experience all the beauties of this magical town and Island.

ROOMS & SUITES – All nine rooms are different from each other and each of them features its own décor, with many local antique pieces of furniture, magical beds, and colorful silks.

The atmosphere of the Sultan’s times is combined with modern comforts, such as wi-fi, air conditioner, ceiling fan, high-pressure (hot) water, digital safe box, LCD flat-screen cable television, in-house phone, mosquito nets, bathrobes and (on request) air dryer.

Luxury Rooms – As our entry-level rooms, this room type is a good option for those who wish to enjoy all the facilities and services of the hotel, but who are on a more modest budget. The size of the bedroom is 20m2 and comes with a double bed, built-in wardrobe and seating area.

They will strike you with the vivid colors of its wonderful local decorations, and it still offers all modern comforts. The en-suite bathroom (3m2) has a washing basin, shower and toilet.

Romantic Suites – large open rooms have a romantic and intimate set-up. The open-plan bathroom with a huge bath (big enough for two) makes it perfect for couples.

The room comes with a double bed, built-in wardrobe, and seating area. In addition, the lovely private balcony (11m2), is ideal to enjoy a snack, relax and watch the world go by.

Balcony

Grand Suites – Apartment-style and consist of three parts: the entrance is a large hallway/lounge (13m2), then a separate superb bathroom (15m2) with a large bathtub, washing basin, toilet, and open cabinet. Further along is the bedroom (20m2) with a double plus wide single bed, and seating area with a TV corner.

Ideal for Family and Friends who travel together and still want to enjoy the space.

Signature Suite –Ddouble bed, seating area, and a semi-open plan bathroom (15m2) with a large shower, two washing basins, toilet and dresser. The cozy private balcony (5m2) offers an excellent view of the roofs of Stone Town.

This Suite offers modern facilities, but still gives you the authentic feeling of being in a ‘different world’.

Honeymoon Suite – Spacious suite (69m2, on the 3rd floor) has antique Zanzibar furniture, a high king-size Sultan’s bed, and a lounge corner.

There are 2 balcony areas. The first balcony with view on the city is adjacent to the bedroom, whilst the other area can be found one extra floor up (4th floor) on the rooftop.

On the rooftop terrace, there is an impressive outdoor bathroom (18m2), with a supersize Sultan’s bathtub, shower and toilet. In addition, the terrace features a private sundeck (6m2) overlooking the rooftops of Stone Town. This suite is perfect for couples, honeymooners, or anyone who wants to experience such a unique room!

Palace Suite – Spacious suite (67m2, located on the 3rd floor), is elegantly decorated in Victorian/Zanzibar style. It features a view of the ocean and of picturesque Stone Town, double bed, two impressive fauteuils, and an antique make-up table.

The semi-open bathroom (22m2) houses a romantic bathtub to relax, a shower, double washing basin, double wardrobe and a separate toilet.

LUNCH & DINNER – At the Palace Restaurant we offer lunch from 12:30 to 15:00 and dinner from 18:00-20:30 (last seating), both à la carte.

Our Chef creates his dishes with fresh ingredients, a lot of passion and a personal touch. We offer international food and local specialties, with sea-food, meat and vegetarian ingredients, accompanied by selected wines.

For a special night, we propose the ‘Swahili experience’, a bonanza of local specialties especially prepared.
