Located just 21 kilometres upstream from the world-famous Victoria Falls, Chundu Island is an exclusive island lodge accessible only by boat. Surrounded by the wild beauty of Zambezi National Park, the lodge offers guests an authentic escape where the rhythm of the river and the sounds of the bush set the pace.

Chundu provides the perfect balance between relaxation and adventure. While the vibrant town of Victoria Falls offers thrilling activities such as white-water rafting, helicopter flights and bungee jumping, the island itself remains wonderfully peaceful; an ideal place to unwind after a day of exploration.

The lodge features 8 spacious and secluded suites, including 6 Riverview Suites and 2 Family Riverview Suites, each thoughtfully positioned along the water’s edge.

Inspired by a relaxed island aesthetic, the suites feature super king or twin beds, generous en-suite bathrooms with freestanding baths and private outdoor showers, and large private decks overlooking the Zambezi River.

Nestled beneath the shade of towering riverine trees, each suite provides a cool and private sanctuary where guests can enjoy uninterrupted views across the river towards the national park.

Evenings at Chundu are particularly special, whether enjoyed from a private deck, at the lodge bar, or on a sunset cruise drifting along the Zambezi as elephants and hippos gather on the riverbanks.

Featuring a secluded pool area overlooking the beach, Chundu Island lodge is professionally run and offers all of the comforts you’d expect from a premier African safari venue. Relax with a cocktail on the pool deck, or cuddle up next to the fire with a good book.
