In the old city of Rethymno on the historical island of Crete, the biggest Greek island, architect Kostas Iliakis renovated in 1987 a beautiful mansion dating back to 1660 – using a brilliant combination of Cretan, Venetian and Oriental techniques, to create what is today the “Avli Lounge Apartments” hotel.
Ten charming suites of exquisite beauty complement AVLI’s gastronomy and wine facilities.
Each suite pays homage to a unique architectural style based on the 15th century atmosphere and provides luxury comforts that meet one’s every need, in the spirit of true Cretan hospitality.
Avli Lounge Apartments offer charming suites, a rooftop terrace with a Jacuzzi tub and fine dining. Equipped with free internet, TV with CD player and spa bath.
Guests may choose between the 320 wine labels in the Fusion Enoteca, accompanied by delicious dishes. The on-site restaurant serves Cretan and Mediterranean cuisine, while a Greek breakfast including homemade flavours is also served daily.
