**FREE ACCOMMODATION** at Warthogs Bush Camp…..

…..would be awesome! But we would go broke so, sadly, it’s not going to happen. But we DO offer free wildlife, free floodplain/lake views, free relaxation, free parking and free, friendly service.

Warthogs offers clean and simple accommodation on the shores of Lake Kariba. Nestled within Mopane scrub we can offer a taste of the bush experience whilst staying on mainland and keeping shops, activities and attractions close at hand.

And we now have even more reason for you to stay, since we have just opened the first (two) of our EN-SUITE SAFARI TENTS.  So far we have a double and a twin, with a family unit coming soon. Each tent has its own bathroom with toilet and hot showers, plus verandah and braai area…..So come and try them!

We also have 3 thatched en-suite cabins: a double, a twin and a double with an extra single bed. In the camping area we have 3 dome tents and 3 camp sites for those with their own camping gear (with communal hot showers and braai stands),

Last up is our “dorm style” self cater cottage, with kitchen, lounge, 2 bathrooms and one bedroom with 5 beds…best suited for a bunch of mates who plan to be out all day and just need a base to eat and sleep.

We have a bar/restaurant on site, overlooking the lake. It’s open every day for drinks and bar meals. We also have a splash pool at the bar. Kids are welcome, so come chill with friends or catch the latest sport on DSTv. Bring your zebras but please, no dogs though… (a National Parks restriction.).

Of course, being a wildlife corridor, we also have plenty of game around. In the dry season elephants, zebras and hippos are frequent visitors. Wild dog, lion and leopard have also passed through on rare occasions. We can also arrange 2-3 day packages and day trips such as Zambezi River canoeing, sailing, game drives, sunset cruises and houseboats for guests through local agents.

In Safe Hands: We have staff (and a wise old dog) on duty 24 hours a day to help with information, washing up, making fires etc. (the dog isn’t great on any of these but he does help with security) To make life easy, shops, harbours and fuel are only a few km’s away.

Really, Warthogs is the ONLY place to stay in Kariba if you want everything on your door step.
