Volcano Island Paradise Bungalow offers unique experience that you won’t find at any resort.
While staying at Volcano Island Paradise, guests have chance to truly experience the local life and culture of Tanna Island. If you want to feel welcomed into a traditional village, and learn more about local ways of life, this is the place to stay.
Volcano Island Paradise is owned and operated by Tanna local, Morris Poita and his family. The bungalows were built by hand in the traditional style using local materials.
Central Location – on the western side of Tanna Island in Vanuatu, in Imayo Village. We are walking distance to Mount Yasur and the middle of the most popular attractions on the island. We can arrange airport transfers for guests. Watch the red glow of the volcano from your bungalow. Hear the rumble of the volcano as you fall asleep in lush, tropical surrounds.

Bungalows and Rates – Volcano Island Paradise offers basic accommodation with fantastic views of Mount Yasur. You can see the lava glowing at night! The bungalows are made entirely of local materials and constructed in the traditional local style. All are equipped with solar panels so that the rooms have light at night, and ensuring that the bungalow is entirely eco-friendly.
There are currently 4 bungalows.
Bungalow 1 – Double and single bed.
Bungalow 2 – Double and single bed.
Bungalow 3 – Double and single bed.
Bungalow 4 – 3 single beds.
Amenities – Bathroom facilities are shared. There is a western style flush toilet. Showers are modern, but cold water only. Don’t worry, the weather in Tanna is warm all year round!
Camping – You can pitch your own tent for 1000 vatu per night per tent.
Travel from Tanna airport: 5000 Vt/single one way & 5000 Vt/couple one way.
Local Food – Morris has just finished building a new restaurant! Enjoy delicious local food while admiring the view. Kava is also available for everyone to try.
Meals are prepared by the owner’s wife, Susie. Fresh fruits and vegetables are organic and locally grown.
Breakfast is complimentary while staying in the bungalows / Lunch: 500 Extra. / Dinner: 800 Extra.
Volcano – We are close to Mount Yasur. You can take a short hike to the top of the volcano with our experienced guides. Alternatively we can also drive you to the top of Mount Yasur.
