Umtamvuna View Cabanas is located on the Lower South Coast holiday town of Port Edward. This beautiful South Coast destination with views of the Umtamvuna River and surrounding Mountain which separates the Eastern Cape and Kwa Zulu Natal.
A large variety of birdlife can be seen from the comfort of your Cabana veranda or while relaxing in the pool.
You will find Umtamvuna View Cabanas to be the perfect home base while you explore the South Coast area. Umtamvuna View Cabanas offers luxury Self-catering accommodation with panoramic views of the mountains, gorge, the Umtamvuna River and a glimpse of the sea. All cabanas are well equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Umtamvuna View Cabanas (UVC) has 5 Cabanas, 3 Cabanas Each with a Queen bed sleeping 2 Adults sharing. Cabana 3 and Cabana 5 are family Cabanas also with Queen bed plus additional beds for 2 children in each. Cabana 1, 2 and 3 are facing the pool and BBQ area with fantastic views of the Gorge and Umtamvuna River.
Cabana 5 has the best view of the Umtamvuna River and the Umtamvuna Bridge while Cabana 4 is situated near the parking area with minimal views. A closed deck with dart board and seating is situated by the pool bar and pool terrace also offering spectacular views of the mountains.
Swimming Pool – There is no lifeguard on duty, parents are responsible for the safety of their children
Swimming towels are not provided.
Small library – containing a variety of books for the reading enthusiast.
Several golf courses, Wedding Venues, Water park, Casino and many other off site options in close proximity
Housekeeping – Linen, towel changes and general cleaning will only be done after 5 days or upon request. In the event of accidental spills on laundry, Kindly request assistance from the office
Maid service is available on request at a fee, please enquire at the reception or when booking.
Braai / Barbeque
There are two BBQ facilities provided, one at the poolside area with two BBQ facilities and one at the lower garden area, Cabana 3 has a private BBQ / Braai area but can also utilize the other BBQ / Braa
On your arrival, Your Cabana will have some complementary items. These complimentary items on the list below should get you started and once you run out, you will need to provide your own for the rest of your stay.
Complimentary arrival items to get you started:
1. ‘Welcome’ coffee, tea, sugar and small fresh milk to get you started.
2. There is a small dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tabs, sponge, scrubber, 2 x dustbin black bags, floor wash and bug spray. BRING YOUR OWN MOSQUITO SPRAY!
3. In the bathrooms, there will be 2 x toilet rolls, soap, shampoo, shower gel, small tooth paste, hand lotion and hand wash.

6. Fridge/freezer – cold water in fridge and ice trays in freezer

9. There is a dishwasher in the unit and with dishwasher tablets.

19. Plastic bread board, tea tray
20. Placemats, coasters, hot dish table mats, serviette rings, paper serviettes and toothpicks.
21. Table cloth, dish dry cloths, dish wash cloths, clothes dry rack for wet towels, iron and iron board
22. Matches, tea candles and a small battery-operated lantern to use if there is Loadshedding
23. Broom, mop, bucket, dust pan and brush, dust cloth.
24. Clean sheets when you arrive and a change of linen again on the 4th day,(optional)
25. We will also spring clean on these days (optional). Should you require daily cleaning; a cleaner can be arranged at an additional cost.
26. There is no laundry on the premises but a Launderette in town is available
27. There is a ‘dry’ bar from which you can serve your own drinks while using the braai area at the pool or garden.
28. There is basic DSTV stay package available.
29. We have a selection of books in an upstairs ‘library’ available should you need any reading material.
30. Free Wi Fi
There are golf courses, water sports and river cruises available at the nearby golf clubs and hotels. The Wild Coast Casino is 10 minutes drive away and 5 minutes away is the Pont Resort which offers food and drinks on the deck at Paddlers restaurant. At the Main beach of The new “Wreck” Restaurant with Beach and Sea Views, A Spar is at the Shopping Centre in Port Edward town.
