The Moso Vanuatu is an exclusive boutique resort and dining destination located on stunning Moso Island, North Efate, Vanuatu – The Moso is barefoot luxury in paradise.
Relaxation and escape are what we require from you while we take care of the rest. With five premium villas and bistro & bar, we cater to couples looking for a secluded romantic getaway, groups wishing for that uniquely memorable celebration or day-trippers visiting for a bite to eat and snorkel.
Largely untouched, Moso Island is an isolated sanctuary, surrounded by crystal-clear blue water and shaded by rustling coconut trees. Just 2 hours 40minutes flight from Brisbane and just over 3 hours from Sydney and Auckland, we will arrange your airport transfer, which is a scenic 25 minute drive from the airport and a short boat ride across beautiful Havannah Harbour. For day-trippers parking is available and we’ll arrange the boat to meet you.
For overnight guests, The Moso Vanuatu welcomes those over the age of 16 to come and enjoy our resort at anytime. For younger children (the pikininis), we do require your group book all five of our villas so the entire resort can become their playground. Child care can be easily arranged.
Villas: The Moso Vanuatu has five premium villas. Our villa designs are like nothing else in Vanuatu and complement the beauty of Moso Island’s natural environment. Each villa comes with a unique outlook, a living space that opens onto the stunning view or can be screened in for total privacy.
Designed with two people in mind, they contain a king size bed and ensuite bathroom. Two villas also have their own plunge pool and outdoor bath, ideal for romantic honeymoon solitude or just to spoil yourself!
Bistro & Bar – Open to guests for breakfast, lunch, sundowners and dinner (Day guests see below).
Please dine in and experience our exceptional food, friendly service and relaxed atmosphere or sip your way through our exotic yet modern cocktail menu while gazing out at the Namoso passage – the choice is yours – we are sure you won’t be disappointed.
Breakfast in bed, wine & cheeseboard in your villa or an ice-bucket of beers by the pool, can all be easily organised through our F&B team. Our beverage list covers nearly everything you might need for any occasion and therefore our bistro is not BYO.
We can also arrange a romantic dinner for two by a fire on the shoreline or a set-menu with a firework display on the beach for your group.
Pool – The Moso Vanuatu’s pool is a relaxing place to escape, wake up with a morning lap, take in the sun on the lounges and loll in the cool water with a cocktail to escape the tropical heat.
The Beach – The Moso Vanuatu has an exquisite beach-front with white coral sand, aquamarine water and rustling coconut palms, this makes for a refreshing dip and great snorkelling only metres out from the resort itself. The beach has sun lounges, over-water hammocks, snorkelling gear and outrigger canoes which guests are welcome to access at any time.
Things to do – Accessed only by boat, Moso Island is surrounded by turquoise waters and an abundance of marine life.
Exploring – Moso Island has many private and secluded beaches, where you will feel like the only person in the world. These beaches can be easily accessed by walking the many tracks around Moso Island or by booking a boat ride. Find Us: Moso Island is situated just off the North Western tip of the main island of Efate, Vanuatu.
Idyllically placed in Emotu Bay, between the Ni- Vanuatu villages of Tassiriki & Sunae, The Moso Vanuatu looks across the Namoso Passage and over to Escema Bay and Port Havannah on the mainland.
Only 25mins drive from Port Vila International Airport and about 5mins past Port Havannah, you’ll turn left off the main road and onto the road to Meden. You’ll find Moso Landing about 2km’s down this road on the waterside.
Parking is available and we run a boat service for the 5 minute trip from Moso Landing over to The Moso Vanuatu. Please ring ahead and book.
