Direct flights to Ecuador go from Amsterdam, Madrid, New York, Atlanta, Houston and Miami. Daily flights leave Quito and Guayaquil out to the Galapagos Islands. A $20 departure tax may apply. The Galapagos National Parks entry fee is $100 per adult / $50 per child under 12 yrs old; payable in cash upon arrival at Baltra Airport. Transfers must be arranged with the hotel in advance. Local currency = USD; local language = Spanish. Equatorial location / sub-tropical climate – warm all year round.
