Mount High Country Estate is an excellent choice for families and groups. We can accommodate 24 adults and two children. Manor House is the main villa on the estate which can accommodate 12 adults and 2 children. For larger groups, you can add the Deluxe Stable Rooms. We have 6 double rooms – 12 people.

Deluxe Stable Rooms – Sleeps: 12 Guests Number of Units: 6 En suite double rooms
Surrounded by the vast mountain ranges of Mpumalanga, on a plateau that reaches the magnificent African skies, are The Stables. These luxurious rooms were once occupied by majestic Arabian horses. Today, they’re the ultimate in contemporary farmhouse chic,effectively combining rustic features and pure luxury to create a unique retreat
We’ve coupled a variety of natural textures with opulent features that make each of The Stables’ suites unique and special. Three of our Arabian horses occupy the adjacent stables, adding a little more magic to your experience.
These 6 en suite double rooms are 50 meters from the Main Villa. Guests have access to a communal kitchen and TV room at the stables. There is no swimming pool in the stable rooms. Booking the Stable Rooms is a great “add-on” option to the Villa for larger groups. It is perfect for an overnight stay when you are passing through on your way to the Kruger National Park or for business people.
When you book a Stable Room and you are not part of the group at the Main Villa, you will not have access to the Villa’s facilities.
The Venue – has plenty of charm and character; making it ideal for weddings, parties and corporate functions with an exquisite difference. It’s set against the most incredible mountain and valley views, which infuses any celebration or event with beautiful, unforgettable quality.
The double volume and exposed rafters lend the venue a certain drama. Exposed brick, natural fibers, a roaring log fire, and unbeatable 180-degree views all set the scene for an event to remember. It is here where you experience our magical sunsets!
The venue seats up to 60 people. Extra accommodation for your guests can be arranged at our neighboring lodges.
The Farm – Mount High is situated on the Natalshoop Farm, high up in the mountains of the South African province of Mpumalanga.
The farm is also home to an array of species showcasing this country’s fauna and flora to perfection. In addition to some spectacular vegetation, there are wilder residents too. These include the golden wildebeest, nyala, bushbuck, black impala, sable and reedbuck.
The farm is situated some 1 600 metres above sea level and has views that it affords at this elevation are nothing short of awe-inspiring. Bird watchers and wildlife photographers are spoilt for choice when it comes to finding places to enjoy the sheer abundance of South Africa. The area around the farm is the natural breeding ground of the African vulture (also known as the white-backed vulture), which makes for a very exciting find for those that spot it.
