Lapa Verde is an ecotourism hotel, located in the Tortuguero National Park. We are surrounded with nature and we care about preserving our Caribbean jungle. We are a preferred destination among bird watchers and nature lovers.
Each of our spacious and fresh rooms have direct access to our lush gardens.

We are a small hotel focused on the best service. Our offer includes accommodation in different types of rooms, restaurant, and a self-guided trail of 3 kilometers, which crosses the private reserve. Each room has a private bathroom, hot water, ceiling fan, mirrors, night table lamps for reading and chairs on the balcony of the room. We also have a main ranch and dining room, as well as large gardens and a beautiful pool, ideal for cooling off after a sunny day and many activities.

Enjoy our newly remodelled pool – Also live the experience of entering a path in our forest with an approximate duration of 1 hour and a half; where you can find a large number of native amphibians in the area, a variety of vegetation and trees, and a small canal that surrounds the property, where turtles and animals of the area live.

Lapa Verde has a privileged location – between the Volcanic Hill and the main Tortuguero Canal, facing the Penitencia Lagoon, which constitutes a natural passage of monkeys, deer and different species of fauna.

Our 200-year-old almond tree, located at the entrance of the property, is home to many species: orioles, toucans, birds of passage… but above all, the beautiful and cheerful green macaw, one of the protected species living in Tortuguero.
