Cecil & Colleen Harding, the owners of Hide Away, have both been in the aviation industry (SA and EK) for many years and have travelled extensively both locally and internationally.

We are a 4 star TGCSA graded Guest House/Bed & Breakfast establishment. Rooms range from Executive with lagoon view to Standard with no lagoon view thus catering for most 4 star budgets.
Knysna provides the perfect base to explore the impressive Garden Route. Whether you’re looking for adventure, are a sports lover or prefer to chill in the sun or at one of the many spas in and around the town, Knysna has it all.
Three golf courses are right on our doorstep. Pezula, Simola and the Knysna Golf Course are open year round and you can hire clubs at all three should you decide on the spur of the moment to play 9 or 18 holes.
All our rooms are ensuite and have Netflix), complimentary warm beverage tray (Nespresso machines in lagoon facing rooms), fully stocked mini-bar, hairdryer, air conditioning, fan, electric blanket (in winter), mini safe, bathrobes & complimentary WiFi.
Rooms:
2 Executive Rooms with lagoon view – on the ground floor with stunning views of the Lagoon and Heads. Large rooms with king size beds and small lounge area. One room has a sleeper couch which folds out into a double bed, ideal for a third adult. Both rooms have large bathrooms with showers only.
3 Superior Rooms with lagoon view on the first floor of the Guest House – with stunning views of the Lagoon and Heads. Two rooms have queen-size beds, while the third offers twin beds. Bathrooms are ensuite with showers only.
1 Superior Room with no lagoon view in the Main House – This large room has a queen size bed and full ensuite bathroom.
1 Standard Room with no lagoon view in the Main House – This is a comfortable room, fitted with a queen size bed and an ensuite bathroom with shower only.
A scrumptious breakfast – ordered from a menu the night before – is served on the verandah or in the dining room between 08.00 and 10.00. Breakfasts are not buffet style but rather served individually to your table.
You can also chill out around the swimming pool or sit on the verandah and enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sun set or possibly catch a glimpse of the elusive Knysna Lourie {Tauraco corythaix}. And for the more energetic, a small gym and swimming pool are also available.
