Eden Bay Eco Lodge and Bazaruto Encounters is located on the mainland 7km’s north of Vilanculos – Bazaruto Archipelago – Mozambique.
Accommodation details – Eden Bay Eco Lodge is situated on a very large unspoilt (Virgin indigenous bush still with large shady trees, including many Marula’s), private and pristine beach front property with grassed areas and authentic thatch umbrellas.
The lodge is situated 7km’s North of Vilanculos, which we have owned for the past 5 years. We are very exclusive as we currently only have 12 to 18 beds depending on configuration.
Our beach is secluded, virtually private, and the Lodge has the best views in the entire Archipelago of all 5 islands – or your money back … :). As we are situated out of town there is less netting in our vicinity and no local hawkers hounding you on the beach – the beach is pristine compared to closer to town / the markets where the netting takes place and unfortunately the sea grass is pulled up, float in the water, left to dry on the beaches and which one finds at many of the Indian Ocean Tropical Islands.
Our surrounding local community have a fleet of traditional Dhows which the sail out on each day and catch their fish by hand-line – far more sustainable to the environment, and which we support by providing line and tackle to them on a regular basis.
