Cradle Boutique Hotel, located in a spectacular 9 000 hectare nature reserve, is one of a kind. It is the only hotel in the world situated on an active anthropological site unearthing hominid fossils. 

The hotel consists of 31 upmarket hotel rooms. 24 of the rooms are eco-friendly, sustainably built with timber and thatch, raised on stilts to reduce their environmental impact. 6 magical sky rooms with wood burning hot tubs positioned on the hillside and finally, the luxurious owner’s suite.

All rooms are fitted with air-conditioning, en-suite bathrooms and indulgent guest amenities and have their own private viewing deck of the spectacular surroundings.

Guests can also enjoy the chemical-free, natural wetland pool and exclusive indoor and outdoor spa treatments in the tranquillity of the nature reserve.

Dining: A modern architectural masterpiece in stone, steel and glass, the Cradle Restaurant is designed with retractable floor-to-ceiling glass doors on three sides that let the outside in. The veranda provides diners with a 180° view of the game-filled valley and uninterrupted views of the Highveld landscape below the blue, African sky.

With its panoramic views and breath-taking scenery, this magical venue is perfect for escaping the bustle of city life. It is also only a 10 minute drive from Lanseria International Airport and close to Sandton.

Weddings: A spectacular wedding setting that is only a stone’s throw away from Johannesburg and Pretoria. An authentic African Bushveld backdrop merges beautifully with the modern, open-plan design of the function venues, creating the impression of an outdoor setting.

Tented Camp: All tents include beds and linen, shower amenities, towels, housekeeping, private viewing veranda, on suite camp bathroom. Our tent ablution facilities include a flush toilet, hot and cold water as well as a USB charging port. Our tents accommodate 2 adults, these tents can accommodate up to 3 children under 16 at an additional rate of R795 pp.
