CASA UMOJA GUEST HOUSE is a unique place to spend your holidays on Zanzibar island together with locals and travellers alike.
Situated on the North coast close to Nungwi Village and just a few steps to a white sandy pristine stretch of Nungwi Beach it is the perfect spot to enjoy the pleasures of this beautiful tropical island in the Indian Ocean in a private, local, relaxed ambience.
CASA UMOJA is a secluded area offering lots of space for privacy as well as the opportunity to explore the island and its people and culture and to exchange with fellow travellers.
A lush tropical garden embeds a one storey main building with 3 rooms on the ground floor and 2 spacious rooms on the upper floor.
The lobby area holds chairs, tables, sofas and swings to meet, chat and relax.
Bungalows are very spacious self-contained options apart from the rooms in the main building.
All our rooms and bungalows are individually decorated yet they are all comparable regarding space and comfort.
Our open Makuti roof thatched (woven palm leaves) YOGA STUDIO invites our guests to use the space for their personal exercise with prior notice at reception from 10.00 am – 10.00 pm.

CASA UMOJA offers continental breakfast from 7.00 am to 10.00 am.
Lunch/dinner reservations are possible upon request.
In the surrounding area and along the beach there are plenty of restaurants and beach bars preparing local and international fresh delicious meals.
Surroundings:
By exiting our main gate the road guides to Nungwi village within a very short walking distance.
Our second entrance leads right to the beautiful Nungwi Beach with just a few steps.
Sun loungers and parasols as well as drinks and snacks are available at our neighbours’ beach bar.
Dive centres are located along the beach offering all kinds of water sports activities such as experiencing marine life by diving, fishing, snorkelling, sunset cruises, etc.
Furthermore sea turtles in a natural aquarium, spice tours on farmland and visits to the world heritage site Stone town are waiting for you to explore them.
