Types of Tickets & Fares for Airline Staff

Airline staff sometimes travel using “buddy passes” or “staff travel benefits” such as ID90 or ZED tickets. These tickets can be stand-by, or may come with further discounted fares.

Buddy Passes: airline staff can use to share with friends & family for free or reduced flights. They just pay for taxes & fees, but the ticket pricing is often waived.

Staff Travel/ID90/ZED Tickets: allow airline staff to fly with at a highly discounted rate, such as ID90 (90% Off) or ZED (Zonal Employee Discount) tickets. They may also be stand-by only, with no guaranteed seat.

Non-Rev Passengers: not paying the standard fare.

Priority Codes: Offer better boarding options & even upgrades.

Firm Seat Fares: here they can purchase a seat with a discounted rate.
