Baani Lodge is a corner of Paradise nestled in Felidhoo Island, Vaavu Atoll. It is the idea of Laura & Shuja, who have been friends for many years. Laura is Italian but lives in France, Shuja is Maldivian and lives in Malé, while his family lives in Felidhoo.

Laura & Shuja have worked hard to bring Baani Lodge to life – to create a beautiful and peaceful resting place in Felidhoo – a real Garden of Eden. Here you will be able to relax in our luxurious garden, feast on our exquisite food and feel restored in our cosy rooms.

BAANI Lodge comprises 6 beautifully-constructed rooms, all with ensuite private bathrooms. A clever use of exquisite wooden features (reclaimed from the Tsunami) makes each room unique. A cosy restaurant and a luxurious garden complete the property.

The Restaurant and Food – Eden BAANI Café & Restaurant. Its interior is unique because it is entirely made with fragments of local coconut tree wooden structure which have been skillfully blended with the modern decor.

Private dining – Extraordinary dining is our specialty – enjoy delicious meals on the tourists’ private bikini beach under the shade of local palm trees or at the beach with sunset and night stars view.

There is a wide selection to choose from, including fresh fish, char-grills, and special Maldivian BBQ dinner options.

Activities: There are number of guided excursions and activities that you can individually plan with our staffs. The excursions are organized on our own boats (Dhoani)

  Snorkeling at various unspoiled coral reefs
  Picnic and BBQ on local beach, desert islands or sandbanks
  Early morning fishing (from 05:30 to 08:00)
  Night fishing (from 17:30 to 20:00)

Note: trips to desert islands including Ambara, Vashugiri, Hulhidhoo, and Aarah can be visited charging fees of €10-€25 per person as these islands are owned by private parties and they charge an entrance fee.

Daily activities that we offer for a surcharge:

• Big game fishing (see rates)
  Day Excursion to a Resort (subject to availability)
  Scuba diving on various dive sites in the Vaavu Atoll if possible upon request.
  Guests are advised to bring their own fishing equipment and supply or can buy fishing lures and accessories from local shops on the Island.

How to get here – Upon arrival at Malé airport our staff will meet you. We are just an hour away from Malé (by speed boat) and Felidhoo is a pretty little fishermen’s village in Vaavu Atoll south of Malé. Once you are here, there’s no need to worry about transport; the island is very small which means that you can walk everywhere.

Note: The transfer from/to Malé is not included and needs to be paid on site.
