The Space is a boutique lifestyle hostel for the modern traveller. We cater to adventurous souls, location-independent nomads and anyone else who has a holistic approach to experiential travel and a keen eye for detail.

Located in the middle of Nicaragua’s pristine Emerald Coast jungle – just 10 minutes drive from San Juan del Sur and on the way to the popular Northern surf beach Playa Maderas – there’s no better place to experience everything San Juan has to offer.

With 16 en-suite rooms, two pools, a bar & restaurant, yoga deck, outdoor gym, mini permaculture farm and remote work centre, there really is a space for everyone and everything -with Free Daily Yoga.

DORMS – Life’s better together! Meet like minded people and form friendships that last a lifetime in one of our designer dorms.

PRIVATE – Our ensuite private rooms are perfect for couples, solo remote workers or groups of four. Each room features a king bed, workspace and wardrobe as well as an adaptable “sofa” that can comfortably sleep another two people.

SUITES – For an even more glamorous experience, indulge in one of our two spacious executive suites. In addition to everything you can find in the private rooms, the considerably larger suites also boast a private ‘chill zone’ with super comfortable couch and coffee table for relaxed reading.

the SPACE is also proud to one of the venues for the legendary SUNDAY FUNDAY pool crawl parties on Sundays from 18:00 – 21:00.

Restaurant – Our seasonal menus feature local, ethically-sourced organic produce as well as a selection of fruit, vegetables and herbs grown in our garden onsite. From woodfired pizzas to fusion food.

Bar – The centrepiece of our expansive rancho, the four-sided bar brings everyone together. Placed in the middle of two jungle infinity pools, the designer bar boasts delicious craft beer brewed onsite, super fresh farm-to-table cocktails or smoothies and a full range of spirits and mixers. Good music and good vibes guaranteed.

Rancho – Effortlessly blending the lines between interior and exterior, our oversized rancho houses the bar, restaurant and communal spaces.
