Accommodation: Feel at home in quiet comfort, cradled by nature amidst the mango trees and sounds of the living forest in your beautifully appointed private suite. Allow yourself to truly relax in the peace and security of the Costa Rican mountains.

Each suite features one or two queen beds, a spacious private bath with shower/bath tub, your very own terrace & garden with outdoor seating. Hardwood furniture and a locally harvested teak wood ceiling.

The sleeping area has a comfy queen-sized bed, and an additional queen bed can be arranged in the living room for additional guests. Ceiling fans, a refrigerator, tea/coffee maker, phone, complementary snacks and TV/DVD player. Choose a movie, free from over 300 DVDs in our collection, and settle into your stay with the comfort of peace and quiet.

Enjoy a cool evening with a bottle of organic Chilean Cabernet and watch the sunset from your private terrace. In the morning, awaken to the sounds of nature. Take a walk to the stream or hike to where you can see the Nicoya Peninsula in the distance. Meditation is a divine experience here in the forests of Costa Rica.

Restaurant: Our Cuisine is International, with an emphasis on fresh fruits and vegetables, some home-grown in our organic gardens. Meals are accented by delicious spices such as fresh turmeric, ginger, basil and lemongrass grown on our permaculture farm.

Guests enjoy family-style meals served on the balcony. Our dishes are either vegetarian or include fresh fish or hormone-free chicken. We do our best to honor individual dietary concerns and we can adapt our menu for vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free diets.

Additional Guest Services:  In addition to professional wellness services, daily yoga and meditation classes, and yoga retreat services, AmaTierra offers the following services for our guests and retreat leaders:

• Restaurant facilities featuring an expansive dining area and balcony with wide-open views of the lush jungle valley. All gourmet meals made with organic and local ingredients.
• Open-air yoga pavillion for yoga retreats, inspirational conferences, and workshop space for group gatherings and meetings.
  Transportation services to and from the airport and to local area attractions (fees vary)
• Guest Services including laundry, telephone, wi-fi internet connection, professional wellness services, arrangements for tours, group activities, guided nature hikes and horseback tours, educational medicinal plant walks and wellness seminars.
• Vacation packages including yoga and wellness, adventure, honeymoon and organic living, both at AmaTierra and in parternship with lovely resorts in other areas of Costa Rica, including Arenal Volcano and Manuel Antonio National Park.

Our Location: Situated along the winding and wonderfully pothole-free Highway 137, 19 kilometers west of Puriscal, on the old road toward Orotina, about an hour’s drive southwest from San José. We can also be accessed from Highway 27, 15 minutes off the Escobal exit.
