Open Air Suites – The glittering Milky Way is your ceiling…The Sky and Star Open Air Suites have their very own private locations at opposite ends of the reserve and a few kilometres from the Main Lodge, between the most astonishing rock formations that overlook the fynbos plains.

Sky Suite – Nestled in a rocky outcrop on one of the highest peaks of Kagga Kamma – approximately 950m above sea level

Star Suite – Nestled three kilometres from the Main Lodge, with absolutely breath-taking panoramic views under the stars or sun

Cave’ Suites – Kagga Kamma offers ten unique man-made ‘Cave’ Suites that were skilfully constructed to integrate with the natural Sandstone formations. Each ‘Cave’ Suite has a small terrace with a view and is simply furnished with comfort in mind.

Each ‘Cave’ is equipped with a double bed, air-conditioner, and coffee/tea making facilities, en-suite bathroom, bathrobes, hairdryer and complimentary toiletries.

Hut Suites – The five spacious thatched-huts at Kagga Kamma resemble the traditional dwellings of the San clans that inhabited the Reserve many years ago.

Each hut has twin beds or a king-size bed with en-suite bathroom, a double sleeper couch, air-conditioner, coffee/tea making facilities, bathrobes, hairdryer and complimentary toiletries.

Camping – Let your inner adventurer out when you camp at Kagga Kamma, in an untouched natural environment – for a real wilderness escape.

Swartrug Camp – The Campsite consists of five stands; each without power. There is a communal warm water ablution facility, a big swimming pool and is located approximately one and a half kilometres from the Restaurant, Curio Shop and Bar.

Bobbejaanskraans Camp – only accessible by 4×4. This site is a great getaway spot and offers you access to the untouched wilderness that Kagga Kamma is famous for. There are no designated camping stands, no electricity, no ablution facilities, as well as no water.

Restaurant & Bar – An a la carte menu is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests can enjoy South African cuisine and a great wine selection from the nearby Cape Winelands. We recommend all our guests try something delicious from the dessert menu.

For a unique experience, enjoy dinner under the stars between extraordinary rock formations that entice your imagination (weather permitting).

Kagga Kamma also has a cosy bar for guests to enjoy. The bar is a Wi-Fi area and has satellite TV for watching sports events.

Kagga Kamma Spa – Enjoy an open air massage! The Spa offers a wide range of TheraNaka™ Massages where guests can choose between Relaxing, Uplifting or Detoxifying Oils. Facials are done with TheraVine™ products and deluxe manicures and pedicures will leave you looking and feeling great.

Kagga Kamma Swimming Pools – In-between spectacular rock formations, guests will find one of Kagga Kamma’s two swimming pools. During those hot Karoo-like summers this is the place to be to cool down or put your feet up in the shade. In winter-time guests often curl up with a book on the sun loungers around the pool.

Activities and Excursions Include – At Kagga Kamma there is more than enough to keep the adventurous occupied. Mountain Bike trails take guests on a scenic adventure through the unique terrain. 4×4 Enthusiasts will enjoy the spectacular views and vast stretches of Karoo mountains and valleys, together with plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife.

For the fun-loving adventurer, Kagga Kamma recommends a Quad Bike Safari, providing access to otherwise inaccessible routes and areas of the Reserve.

The Mini Observatory is a perfect Stargazing Spot and Rock Art Tours provides guests with a cultural experience like no other. For plant and animal lovers the Nature Drives are a must do and our knowledgeable guides provide fascinating information on various animal and plant species and the greater environment.
