How to get Here
* From the Orio al Serio Airport (3km). By taxi costs approximately €15. Alternatively, take bus n.1 towards Stazione FS, Porta Nuova and Città Alta.
* From the train station (1.5km), take a taxi to the hotel. The cost is more or less €10. Otherwise, from Porta Nuova take bus n.11 C towards Campagnola.
* From the A4 Milano/Venezia, take the Bergamo exit (1km).

Must-see museums: Bergamo is also a city rich in art and culture; Bergamo’s major museums are Modern and Contemporary Art Gallery, which showcases sculptures, paintings and drawings by Italian and foreign twentieth-century artists and Bergamo’s famous Carrara Academy, which is both a Picture Gallery and Academy of Fine Arts that currently houses 1.800 paintings, ranging from the fifteenth to the nineteenth century.
Places: Bergamo is divided in two distinct parts: “città alta” (upper city), the historical center that looks more like a small Tuscan town, and “città bassa” (lower city), the heart of the city’s shopping district, where Cristallo Palace hotel is located. Don’t miss Piazza Vecchia, the heart of Bergamo’s historical center; the Colleoni Chapel, the Romanesque-style Duomo and the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore; Donizetti Theatre, a fifteen-minute bus ride (number 11) from the hotel.
Fitness & Fun: The Colli Park is perfect for any athlete’s fitness walking program or daily training; moreover, Bergamo’s lower city has a number of public parks and a scenic route running along the city walls, which makes an excellent jogging trail.
Local Cuisine: Try Bergamo’s famous pasta dish called casoncelli alla bergamascaI, homemade pasta with a delicious meat filling in a butter sauce that can also be tossed with sage and pancetta; another dish to order before leaving Bergamo is polenta targana, the local version of polenta that features Italian cheeses like Taleggio, Gorgonzola or Fontina.
