The Shongololo Boma allows guests to gather under the night sky to reminisce about the day gone by and share in some tall tail campfire stories.

Accommodation – Each unit has been designed with the Drakensberg elements in mind- tented canvas panels which can be fully opened to get the feeling of being one with nature; a solid wall with a large fixed glass window for stability and protection from the prolific North-Westerly Berg wind, creating the perfect backdrop for a warm bath while framing the indigenous fauna and flora.

Ukusa Couple Unit – Sleeps: 2 An open plan living/ bathroom area; a private toilet; a kitchenette with all the necessities for a comfortable stay and a wooden deck from where you may marvel at your surroundings. A log fire, kingsize or two 3/4 beds and locally manufactured furniture all add to the luxuriousness of your stay. Sleeping provisions can be made for small children, please enquire when making a booking.

Jujube Couple Unit – Sleeps: 2 Our more intimate unit, perfect for honeymooners and romantics looking for a private and memorable experience.

An open plan living/ bathroom area so that your views are undisturbed; a private toilet; a kitchenette with all the necessities for a comfortable stay and a wooden deck from where you may marvel at your surroundings. A log fire, kingsize or two 3/4 beds and locally manufactured furniture all add to the luxuriousness of your stay.

Sundown Family Unit – Sleeps: 4 Insulated canvas panels, which when fully opened, allow for a 180 degree view of uninterrupted beauty. Sundown consists of two semi divided rooms for either families with children or two couples who are comfortable sharing; and has an open plan living area including a lounge, kitchenette, and a private bathroom.

Fall asleep to the crackle of the log fire or the distant calls of animals and birds; and awaken to spectacular views of the Drakensberg Mountains. Luxury and homeliness collide to create space, simplicity and a sense of calm.
