The Entabeni Game Reserve, Entabeni means ‘place of the mountain’, is a 220 km2 (85 sq mi) private reserve situated in the Waterberg in Limpopo Province in northern South Africa.

The Entabeni Reserve is popular for safari trips because of the opportunity to see big 5 game and a variety of birds and antelope species, as well as its scenery, and the fact that it is in a malaria-free zone.

Set within a tranquil, natural setting boasting changing vistas, diverse eco-systems and a breath-taking mountainous backdrop, Entabeni is the integration of a 22,000 hectare Big 5 Game Reserve, a resort and luxurious lodges.

Entabeni Lakeside Lodge:

• Entabeni Lakeside Lodge has a total of 20 elegantly furnished bedrooms, consisting of en suite twin, double and family bedrooms, as well as 2 wheelchair rooms. Eight of the rooms have their own fireplaces.
  • The bedrooms are linked by walkways to the reception, restaurant and bar area, curio shop, conference rooms and boma and a walking distance to the swimming pool and spa.
  • Meals are served in the restaurant, boma, garden or lower deck boasting spectacular views of Lake Entabeni as well as the bespoke Entabeni Mountain.
  • There are also various outside bush venues to enjoy, including Boekenhout and Yellow-wood Gorge with their fresh mountain streams and pools, and Hippo Boma for large events.

Entabeni Kingfisher Lodge:

• Has a total of 12 spacious en suite bedrooms, all with private decks, air-conditioning and mini-bars.
  • The main lounge area flows onto a large deck surrounded by treetops, with stunning views of the Entabeni Mountain and Lake Entabeni.
  • The lodge offers a selection of dining venues including a cosy dining area with fireplace, the outside deck area ideal for outside dining and sundowners, the lower-deck lounge and dining area with fire pit at the lake and a braai boma close to the swimming pool.
  • The 4 executive rooms are linked with walkways to the main deck area and are equipped with mosquito nets and fireplaces. One room is equipped as a wheelchair room for guests with mobility challenges. All the rooms have fireplaces and private deck areas, only the family rooms don’t have fireplaces for safety reasons.

Entabeni Wildside Lodge:

Please note: Children under the age of 6 are not allowed on the Game Drive. Alternatively, children under the age of 6 may go on the White Lion Tour.

Children under the age of 6 are also welcome on the Mampiman Drive however, the Big Five Animals will be avoided. In the event that you do book this drive and you have a child under 6 years please let us know so we can make the arrangement.
