Need to escape from your everyday hectic life? Enjoy a one- to three-bedroom vintage Hawaii plantation home on or near the ocean and unwind. Each of our 59 cottages offers a fully equipped kitchen and private lanai. There is also an on-property restaurant and an oceanfront pool.

Cottages built in the late 1880s to 1930s have been lovingly refreshed, and are fully air-conditioned, while retaining their rustic charm. Each home offers a fully equipped kitchen and private lanai (porch).

With spectacular sunsets and starry nights away from city lights, Waimea Plantation Cottages is ideal for a couple’s getaway, a family vacation, or one of life’s celebrated occasions. Cool off with a swim in the oceanfront pool, relax in one of the hammocks around the property, walk the 2-mile-long black-sand, walking beach, or visit the majestic sights of Waimea Canyon and the Napali Coast.

Set in Waimea, Kauai, one of Kauai’s iconic sugar plantation towns, Waimea Plantation Cottages offers guests the opportunity to see Waimea Canyon, known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, visit Koke’e State Park with its miles of amazing hiking trails, or take a boat tour of the stunning Napali coastline where the verdant sea cliffs fall directly into the turquoise ocean. These are some of the most visited places on Kauai and both are close to the resort.

Both Waimea Town, and nearby Hanapepe Town, offer an eclectic mix of boutiques, gift shops, art galleries, and interesting dining experiences. Hanapepe offers a Friday Art Night with local artisans, food trucks, and booths lining the street. You can pick up your fresh produce at a number of the local Farmer’s Markets nearby.

While the black-sand beach at the resort, due to the currents, is a walking-beach, there are 2 swimmable, lifeguard beaches nearby. The golden sands of Kekaha Beach is just a 5-minute drive to the west, and Salt Pond Beach with its protected swimming area is a 15-minute drive to the east. Stop by the front desk of the hotel to pick up your loaner beach chairs and beach umbrella.

Around the island of Kauai, you can see Green Sea Turtles hauled up and resting on the beach, visit breathtaking waterfalls, and in-season see one of the Humpback Whales making their yearly migration through Hawaii.
