The 180 rooms and suites Al Husn offers Shangri-La’s highest level of service, amenities and privileges to the most discerning of travellers.

These are amongst the largest and most luxurious in Oman, with an inviting décor inspired by royal Arabian palaces and accented by authentic Omani artworks. AL BANDAR:
The town of old & new offers a luxurious retreat

Al Bandar is one of two hotels at Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa, Sultanate of Oman. The five-star deluxe property provides 198 guestrooms with either partial or full sea-views.

The name Al Bandar translates as “The Town”, a name reflected in the architecture of the hotel. Inspired by old Muscat, featuring buildings of varying heights and a variety of ornate balconies, Al Bandar is an inspiration.

Al Bandar Hotel is the resort’s focal point, featuring seven food and beverage outlets and 11 meeting rooms, as well as the spectacular Barr Al Jissah Ballroom measuring 1,056 square metres and providing banquet-style seating for up to 700 people.

AL WAHA:
Nestled amongst mountains a veritable oasis

Al Waha is Oman’s first dedicated family hotel. It is the largest of two hotels at the Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa, Sultanate of Oman. Comprising 262 guestrooms, each room provides guests with either a 5 sqm balcony or patio, with seaview or sea-facing perspectives.

The name Al Waha means “The Oasis”, and has been designed such that the hotel’s several swimming pools form an oasis incorporating many date palm trees.

The architecture of Al Waha is traditional Dhofari, from the southern region of Oman. Nestled at the foot of a mountain range, vehicular access has been made possible by a man-made tunnel. Muscat, Oman’s capital just 15 minutes away, beckons.

• The above rates are inclusive of buffet breakfast in the all day dining restaurant of the resident hotel. Al Husn residents may dine in the privacy of the guest room to a maximum amount of OMR 20 net per person
• All rates are based on Single / Double room occupancy only (max. 2 persons per room; see below for extra bed rates
• The above rates are inclusive of 17% government tax and service charges, are non-commissionable and subject to availability
• The above rates are inclusive of Wi-Fi / Broadband Internet access in the room.
• Valid ID-card to be shown at time of check-in to avail of the Interline Rates
• For guests staying with overlapping seasons, room rates are subject to change based on the prevailing seasonal rates
• Members need to present valid ID proof with company name at the time of check in as a part of the verification process. Childrens Policy – Families are recommended to stay at the Al Waha and Al Bandar hotels due to their proximity to the extensive children’s facilities in the Resort. Children 11 years of age and below stay free when occupying the same room as their parents and receive a free rollaway, free breakfast and free meals when dining with their parents in the buffet restaurants. Children also have free access to Adventure Zone, Cool Zone, GameZ and enjoy great facilities like Splashpad, Lazy River and kids pools.

Al Waha:

Al Husn:
There is no age restriction in the Al Husn hotel. Please note that all rooms in the Al Husn hotel can be booked on a Single/Double occupancy basis only.

• Children staying at the Al Husn hotel must be accompanied by parents or a responsible adult guardian and behave in a manner befitting of Al Husn
  • A children’s menu is available via Al Husn in room dining and at the dining outlets of Al Bandar and Al Waha hotels. Shangri-La’s Children’s Meal Plan is available in the Al Bandar and Al Waha hotels only. Guests 12 years of age and above are welcome to dine in Sultanah restaurant for lunch and dinner, and Shahrazad restaurant for dinner
  • The pool and the beach facilities of the Al Husn are available to children 16 years of age and above, which applies also to the dining outlets of Al Muheet Pool Bar and Mahhara Beach Bar. Children 15 years of age and under are invited to use the beach and pool facilities of both Al Bandar and Al Waha hotels
  • Breakfast – families will be invited to join the breakfast at the Sultanah Restaurant or they can choose to dine at either Al Tanoor or Samba in Al Bandar and Al Waha Hotels
  • Daily afternoon High Tea – families are invited to join the daily High Tea in the Sultanah Restaurant
  • Daily pre-dinner Cocktails – Children 16 years of age and above can attend, without service of alcohol

EXTRA BED
One extra bed only is permissible in King Room configurations (Twin Room configurations cannot accommodate an extra bed) at both Al Waha and Al Bandar hotels. Note that when an extra bed is placed in King Rooms, space is restricted. The extra bed charge is detailed below:
Al Waha & Al Bandar hotels

Season 1 OMR 18 net per person per night (12 years and above)
Season 2 & 3 OMR 20 net per person per night (12 years and above)

Al Husn hotel
Extra beds are NOT available in Al Husn except baby cots for infants 2 years of age and below. Buffet breakfast is included in the above rates.

ROOM TYPE CONFIGURATION
Please note that all the rooms in the Resort either accommodate one king-sized bed or twin-beds (2 single beds). Under no circumstances can interconnecting rooms be confirmed at the time of booking. Alternatively Family Rooms in Al Waha are 2 x Superior Rooms with guaranteed interconnecting doors.

FOOD & BEVERAGE – Half-board Rates

The following rates are applicable to FIT bookings in conjunction to the room reservation:

Al Waha and Al Bandar

Half-board (lunch or dinner) OMR 17 net per person, per day Samba or Al Tanoor Buffet.

Full-board (lunch & dinner) OMR 30 net per person, per day

Rates are inclusive of 17% tax and service charge.

Half board is applicable in the Hotel’s buffet restaurants or alternatively, guests may choose to receive a food and beverage credit of OMR 16 per person per meal.

Half board and full board rates do not apply for Al Husn.
