Dating back to the 17th century, Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa has a fascinating history that traces back to when a Roman road ran past the western boundary. One stone from the boundary dates back to 1608 – a history that now stands proud in our luxurious 1608 Champagne Bar.

Fast forward to 1984 when the mansion was meticulously refurbished, restored, and renamed Alexander House Hotel. In 2012, AA awarded us with 5 star status, making Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa one of the highest rated hotels outside of London.
